Artist Statement

I am very much influenced by fashion and fabric, the extravagance of couture clothing, textures in fabric, in particular lace, embroidery and floral motifs to name but a few. These influences mixed with my own personality as a maker creates a unique style. I design and create unique handmade original ceramics from my home in Rearcross Co. Tipperary. They are heavily decorated with patterns incorporating a range of techniques including impressing patterns, inlay, slip resist and coloured clay. My product range includes tableware sets, jewellery, sculptures and personalised items. My aim is for my work to please both the hand and the eye, a soft material that becomes solid but still holds that soft appearance is very intriguing. I want to offer my customers a bit of luxury and elegance for their home decor and also their daily lives, to offer something from my hands to yours.
